independent, Locally Owned & Operated (i LOO)

A Coalition of Community

You have an idea. You have the talent & skills . You want to open your own business and live the American Dream. But you have a problem.

We live in the age of Big Box, Franchised & Corporate enterprise. The struggle small "Mom & Pop" merchants face, to compete against deep-pocket marketing and advertising budgets, is daunting. Bringing your product to market - locally, regionally or nationally - is complicated and expensive, and red-tape can really block your way.

The i LOO Project was born to give the soul of our nation's most cherished ideal - the American Dream - a cleared path, by uniting the community of independent merchants into an effective, important common voice. It is grass root interests, being heard & felt by local governing commissioners and councils, to remind, encourage and persuade them not to sell out their neighbors; hard working, honest business owners & operators, whose families and local economy prosper in tandem with their business success.

i LOO is not a political agenda. i LOO is a network of independently owned business merchants, privately organised to protect and advance shared business interests. The criteria for membership is simply to be an independent owner and operator of a business, having absolute final authority in all aspects of the same.

Enroll | Engage | Evolve

To become a member, you must be an independent owner & operator; and have an active business license (local or county). There is no cost to enroll at this time; the project is in its infancy and there are no "projects" or "campaigns" that need funding. Right now, we need to build our membership. Once enough interest has been generated, we will look to form a guild or other non-profit organization. Membership fees may be re-evaluated at that point, moving forward.

For now, you can SIGN UP HERE. There's no risk, you can opt-out anytime, and better still, there is great potential for a positive, pro-active alliance for independent local merchants!
